My media release following the weekend. I wasn't wanting to get into the pros and cons of Forrester Heights, but rather I wanted to point out that the petition is not credible if people are being encouraged to sign it due to misinformation.... The piece of land that most of us know of as Lookout Point is the top part with the roadway, mown area etc. but not according to the person collecting signatures! The council would sell that part over my dead body! (And it has no plan to sell that, luckily)
As for the public having a debate on the matter of the development, I think it is great that people do so, to ensure we have good agreement going forward.
